Opinions Twitter — Public Service Announcement

Published by:

This is a public service announcement regarding my recent tweets on Twitter concerning my opinions on certain subjects. Please take time to read through this announcement because it will make it clear on my intentions.

If you have been following my Twitter feed, you will know that I have been following Katie Hopkins very frequently. Now, this initially started because I wanted to see what all the hype was behind the Katie Hopkins persona. Before following her, I always heard certain rumours, not only from the public, but within the media also.

After following her for just a week, it appears to me that she says certain things to get a reaction, but also I believe people take some of her tweets out of context. The most notable tweet this week has been about dementia. She stated her own plans in the event that she got the horrible disease. But, people have taken this personally because she used the term “bed blockers.” This is the only part that I didn’t agree with, I totally understand the plans she has in place because I wouldn’t want to put my family through the same.

Now, I understand why people got upset or why they attacked me on Twitter, but we live in a world of freedom of speech and unfortunately nobody will have the same opinion all the time. I want to make this clear, if you do not like what I post on twitter, or if you take offence, please unfollow because I will not be changing my opinion just because someone has got upset about it. As I have said on Twitter, if you cannot stand the forum, then do not join in. I will respect your opinion, but I will not change my mine to suit somebody else.

If you would like to follow me on Twitter my username is @MarcSnappy

This is the end of this public service announcement, thank you.

Self Publishing in Decline — Monday Blogs

Published by:

I recently came across a few post on social media concerning self published authors and the cost of their books being too much.

Ultimately, the cost depends on who you publish through, and even then, most self published books are a lot less in cost than other publishing houses top releases. I publish through LuLu.com for paperbacks, and even though I don’t put any costs on top, I still sell a lot of books, but bare in mind, I’m not allowed to earn extra money. In January I sold 70 copies of one of my books, and that retailed and made for £5.99 with nothing added on as profit.

So, is self publishing in decline? To some it may seem like it, but I personally think that self publishing is growing year-on-year and the costs to do this comes down over time.

Let me know what you think. Find me on Twitter: @MarcSnappy and Facebook: Marc Corn Books

Katie Hopkins — Professional Stirrer @KTHopkins

Published by:

I want to make this clear from the start. This article contains my own opinion of this person, and seeing as she picks on people for no reason, I don’t see the harm in sharing mine. As she said in a recent Sky News interview, ‘if you can’t take it, don’t join the forum.’

So, Katie Hopkins, a media journalist for The Sun by day, and pain in the backside by night on Twitter. But, saying that, she is a pain in the backside any time.

I won’t hide the fact that I give her a hard time on Twitter, that would just be a pussy move to deny it, but I stand by my word and what she has stated in a TV interview, ‘if you can’t take it, don’t join the forum.’

Personally, I think Katie thrives on negative news and negative comments. I don’t agree with her opinions, I think she is downright disrespectful and arrogant. This is probably part of her evil game plan, but I will give her one thing. She has gained fame for doing nothing, apart from being a giant pain in the backside.

Keep an eye on Twitter, there will be plenty more tweets to come.
